On Sunday 2nd July, KHA GCSE Music student Keion Smith performed in front of huge crowds at The Old Bus Station in the centre of Colchester. The immense sound of the Essex Youth Orchestra, a choir from Burnt Mill Academy, Keion, professional rapper Eyez, and producer and composer Max Wheeler drew audiences in from the street and received a standing ovation at the end of the show. Organised by Charley Richardson from Essex Music Service, this large-scale work was a fusion of Grime and Orchestral Music and Keion's performance alongside Eyez was outstanding. Congratulations to Keion who is a shining example of how you can achieve your goals through hard work, passion and commitment. King Harold Academy are extremely proud of him and are looking forward to seeing what this young talent will do next.
