International long jumper visits school

International long jump athlete Ezekiel Ewulo visited King Harold Academy to meet Year 8 and Year 9 students.

He ran an exercise circuit incorporating the exercises he completes during his training.

After the students had completed their circuit, Ezekiel presented to them on a range of topics, including the importance of healthy eating, training and commitment, what inspired him and how he got into long jump.

He also took the students out to the sandpit to help coach them through the correct technique with each student taking part in a standing long jump.

Students raised a total of £291.50 as part of the visit, with the money to be given to help developing young athletes in the UK.
