Cavalcade of Light

On Friday 30th November, The KHA Samba Band (consisting of students from years 7-9) took part in the Waltham Abbey Cavalcade of Light. The parade, which featured several Christmas themed floats from the local community, began at the Cornmill Car Park and then made its way past the Abbey Church and up Sun Street with thousands of local residents cheering and supporting along the route. After the Waltham Abbey Mayor and Father Christmas had switched on the Christmas lights, the KHA Samba Band began - led by Ryan Locke in year 9 - and the band sounded excellent. It was lovely to see so many King Harold students cheering for us from the crowd. Well done to all students involved. You did King Harold proud.
