Careers

We have an established careers programme in school.  Our aim is to ensure all students are able to make an informed choice for their future learning and careers in preparation for when they leave King Harold Academy.

Our students have access to:

  • One-to-one impartial Careers Advice and Guidance in Year 11.
  • Group interviews for Year 10.
  • Planned lessons for producing C.V.s and Letters of Application
  • Advice and guidance on applying for Apprenticeships, Sixth form and College courses, including researching careers, finding courses, applications and writing personal statements
  • The Careers Department manages the school’s Work Based Learning Programme offering our Year 10 students the opportunity to take part in Work Experience and Mock Interview programmes.

The Careers Department hold a vital role in the school in making sure that each student is equipped with the necessary skills and information to go onto further education or out into the world of work.

If you are able to offer a two week work experience placement or take part in our Mock Interview programme please contact:
