The dance department at KHA have been working hard with our year 7 dance troupe since September to produce a dance to enter into a national dance competition. The dance which was a mixed dance style of contemporary and street dance was choreographed by Mrs Lewis and Miss Dunn based on the theme of identity.

The year 7 dance troupe were committed to learning the dance and were delighted to hear at the end of last term that they had made it through to the semi finals of a national schools dance competition ‘The Great Big Dance off.’
The group were then invited to perform at The Gordon Craig theatre on Monday 9th March to compete against other schools in the South East.

Unfortunately KHA did not win the place in the finals as the competition was tough and the standard was exceptionally high, however we were proud to have been given a place in the semi finals. It has been a fantastic and inspirational experience for our dancers. The troupe scored their points on creativity, complexity, dynamics and rapport. We are so proud of our year 7 dancers who represented the school.
